We're Tim and Leonie. All three rooms look out over the garden and paddocks and down the channel to Bruny Island — and there are only three of them, so the house never feels too busy.
Leonie is in charge of the cooking. You'll wake to the smell of fresh bread, and eggs however you like them. The garden and paddocks are yours to wander, it's a warm house in a cold state, and the Bruny ferry is fifteen minutes down the road.
The view
It's the reason we bought the place. You look over the garden, across the paddocks and the bush, and down the channel to Bruny Island. If you're up early, you'll see the salmon boats heading out to the pens.
The rooms
Three of them, named for the men who charted this coast — Baudin, Bruni and Hayes. Each has its own bathroom with under floor heating, French flax linen, reverse cycle aircon, and tea and coffee you don't have to pay for.
Baudin
Our largest bathroom, and the only room with a balcony.
Bruni
The big one. A king bed that splits into twins if you'd rather (please let us know when booking), a sitting area with a sofa, and a corner of windows that puts the water in front of you from most of the room.
Hayes
The smallest of the three, with a queen bed rather than a king, and priced accordingly.
Where you are
Ten minutes to Kingston. Fifteen to the Bruny ferry. Twenty to Hobart. Twenty-five to the Huon Valley. You can do most of the south of this state from here and come back to the same bed each night.

Before you book
The guest rooms are all upstairs, and there's no lift. They're ordinary stairs with a landing at each of the two turns. If you cannot manage a flight of stairs, this isn't the place for you — and we'd rather tell you now than when you arrive. We're an adults-only house too, so it isn't the trip to bring the children on.
